There is lots of bread which does not have soy ingredients. A few examples from Tesco (as they have a big range and a website which seems to work OK in getting links to specific products.)

You are right that the top-selling products in wrapped, sliced loaves often do contain soy in some form. But if you go slightly off the beaten track, many are available.
Thanks for your reply , unfortunately I don’t have a Tesco in my area , I’m ok with gluten just needs to be soy free
What shops do you have in your area? (Not all the products are Tesco - some are standard national brands.)
Hi I have Asda Morrisons Sainsbury’s in my area
How about:

Or, of course, make your own?
Soy impedes the uptake of thyroid hormones by the cells which is a good reason to avoid it!
Most gluten free is soy free

Waitrose brown seeded is delicious
But one less sexy than the other!
Astounding! I starting to feel really well cut out soy. But have had some tummy trouble eating brown bread but dismissed it I didn't think it contained soy. I just asked hubby to check the bread ingredients and yes soy. I have been taking notice of food but never thought bread had soy. Its odd because when I have had porridge and omitted bread/toast from my lunch/breakfast I have been well no gastro symptoms. Well I never thank you very helpful.
Various forms of bean and pea have long been accepted as ingredients of bread. I think some of it started centuries ago in part as a way of increasing protein content. Even now, it seems to be allowed in French law - which is very strict and prescriptive about bread ingredients.
The use of soy flour (and other soy products) is much more recent. Though I remember even in the 1960s some form of soy was used in (some) doughnuts!
Really interesting thank you. I have always cooked over the years with fresh ingredients hardly ready meals or jars. Oddly enough lock down bulk stocked many ingredients for storage that I never usually bought. Also depression I just wanted a quick meal I think in lock down thats when my symptoms became worse. Makes sense I guess my body was eating far more processed foods. Dear me the state of the nations health I would say has worsened over this period. I think I kept my thyroid at bay from symptoms because I ate healthy. Depression has so many side effects.
Do you live in Wales by any chance? I can recommend a very nice loaf that is soy free if you do, it's made by a family bakery in Denbighshire and they deliver to most of Wales and as far as Chester, Ellesmere and Shrewsbury.
Thanks everyone for your replies really helpful 🙂
