Hello smart people, can anyone advise, I have hypothyroidism and have been on 50 mcg of Levothyroxine for a month, now I think I have a water infection, can I treat it without taking antibiotics?

Many Thanks

Having had vast experience with uti's I would advise you get down to the GP asap, if you have an infection it needs antibiotics, messing about with alternatives may damp it down but not kill the bacteria.

Many Thanks, I just thought I could try and get rid of it myself, I have such a reaction with taking other medication, I’m afraid of taking anything other than paracetamol,

Completely at your own risk - you could try drinking lots of water to try to ‘flush it out’ - your judgement based on how bad you think it is.

Taking cranberry tablets helps some people, particularly helpful for not contracting the UTI in the first place.
