hi all... finally got to see doc and what a nice doctor

firstly I saw nurse practitioner who listened to me saw my private results

she then ordered me about a dozen blood tests. including tgab which is NOT available on NHS. .my tgab is off the scale on private results.

then she made me an appointment to see the lovely doctor. who actually listened to me WOW.

he upped my levo from 50 to 75

and also prescribed my vit d

which on my results was rock bottom

I take 50 levo every other day and 75 on opp days

the bit d is 25.000each capsule and I take 2 a week .

is that 2 at once? . I took both anyway as it didnt say

this group is brilliant

blood test for vit d in a month.

thyroxine test in 3 months

Its very good news to learn of a doctor who's sympathetic and who listens to the patient.

I hope this doctor is a permanent feature in my surgery..

I dont even think he follows the 10 minute appointment rule either.... 20 mins late getting in. and he wasnt even fazed

I once had a doctor like that. He became so popular that everyone wanted an appointment with him and refused to see the other doctors. By the end of a morning surgery, he was always running an hour late.

Congratulations! Here in the US, doctors of that ilk are also rare. I know of a couple. One is not taking on new patients and one has a six month waiting list nor does he take insurance. $600 for the initial consult and $190 for follow ups.

I can best that. There's a top shelf psychiatrist/researcher at Johns Hopkins who charges $1000; no insurance accepted. I complained to the head of psychiatry. Never responded.
