4?? Are you sure? If so you got really high dosed vitamine D?

Ask a copy of your blood results. B12 is often low although they say it's perfect.

Shaybenholly, vitD 4 is severely deficient. What has your GP prescribed?

Shaybenholly, I think you're right that vitD was 4. 20,000iu is a loading dose to get your levels up. Take it 4 hours away from Levothyroxine and it's best taken with a meal which has some fat in it as fat helps absorption.

My vitD was <10 and I was prescribed 40,000iu daily for one week followed by 2,000iu daily for 8 weeks. I felt and looked better within 6 weeks. Knee and hip joint pain which had been plaguing me resolved.

Thanks clutter I'm worried about going from 50 Levo to a 100 Levo I started on 25 I asked to go on 75 first she's been really good the doctor but she wouldn't budge an said I needed to now be on a 100 . Can I ask should I take any kind of multi vitamin as well ?

Shaybenholly, it is more usual to see 25mcg increment increases but many people are started on 100mcg Levothyroxine. I imagine your TSH remained high on 50mcg and this is why you GP wants you on 100mcg.

If you didn't have any side effects increasing from 25mcg to 50mcg you probably won't have any increasing to 100mcg but if you are reluctant to increase that much just take 75mcg for a couple of weeks before increasing to 100mcg.

Shaybenholly, it won't do you any harm but make sure to take it 4 hours away from Levothyroxine if it contains iron or calcium.
