Low/lower/no toxin products

I was just replying to a post about keratin treatment and though it might be helpful to post about low/lower/no toxin products that I I have tried and seem to work well, as I thought this may be of interest to others on this forum.

I try to avoid toxins in products where possible especially endocrine disruptors for obvious reasons, and have tried loads of products, many of which don’t work very well. Low toxin can sometimes mean crap and doesn’t work ime!!!

On top of thyroid disease, I also have very sensitive skin with eczema and rosacea which affects what I can use also. Thought others could also chip in with products they find effective.

I have checked out a lot of these products but please do your own research before trying especially if you are sensitive or allergic to any particular ingredients.

Tropic skincare - I use loads of these products so thought I would start here. Full disclosure - I haven’t personally checked every single ingredient in every product - I did with the first few products I tried and didn’t find any issues. They produce natural products that they try to make work for people with skin issues. I have found their ABC to be the best products I have ever used on my skin for the standard skin care routine either toxic or non toxic!

I also use their:

- Tamanu balm - fantastic for very dry skin patches (hands, knees, elbows for me) and my pompholyx eczema on my hands - clears it up. It also clears up small outbreaks of rosacea on my face.

- conditioner and hair oil. Their conditioner is the best organic/natural conditioner I have tried on my frizzy hair. It’s expensive but la for ages as you only need a tiny amount. Their hair oil is also rally good as improving texture and taming frizz.

- natural deodorant - they do a lovely lemony natural deodorant that my DH likes. Doesn’t work on me with my excessive and toxic sweat unfortunately but he rates it having tried other natural deodorants that have not been effective.

- I really like their deep hydration face pack and their anti-elixir serum - both of which are v moisturising - plus their fruit peel serum is very good and has made a massive difference to my skin tone making it more even.

- I didn’t like their super greens serum personally, nor their face lift face pack which didn’t seem to do much.

MooGoo - recently started using this and am impressed so far! Got them fir my husband who has had problems with super dry skin but won’t moisturise. Got him the milk wash. It is lovely so I use it too now. His dry skin is so much better and I like that it doesn’t feel like it’s stripping oils out of your skin. It also doesn’t cause me to have breakouts it aggravate any of my skin conditions.

I have also used their udder cream which is lovely and moisturising. I really like it.

Recently got a trial tube of their spf 15 face cream. Only used it twice but it’s very light and seems to work so far anyway and no breakouts!

Green people sun cream and facial sun cream. This is the only suncream that I’ve tried that works very well in my fair skin and doesn’t break me out in spots all summer.

Need to do dinner now so will add to this later.....
