Hi ling, I'm in UK and this is something that my endo Dr at the hospital requested. It may be different in Scotland but I'm sure either your endo or gp can request it xx

Unfortunately seems GP will not order it. Not sure if there's an endo in the picture.

According to NHS Choices it can be ordered only by a Consultant, but whether that also applies in Scotland I don't know.

Many thanks SeasideSusie.

I'm not in the west so completely unfamiliar ... So someone in Scotland can get this test done?

Thank you!

There should be no problems with someone in Scotland having a Medichecks test. As it's a venous blood draw they will need to arrange phlebotomy. Their GP or local hospital may be willing to do it (some will, some wont) or they can put their post code in here to see if there is a clinic within travelling distance

I believe home phlebotomy can also be arranged.

I live in Central Scotland. My GP reluctant to make any decision or run any thyroid tests regarding my Graves'. Always follows advice from endo. who has done TRAb and fT3 which GP says he cannot do. The endo tells the GP to draw the blood but take no responsibility interpreting results which are emailed to him to put in place any change of drug dose.

Sorry but hearing about this sort of doctor just gives me a headache?!

As you are in central Scotland, would it be alright for me to get the Scottish forummer to pm you directly if she needs to find out more?

Many thanks asiatic!
