My latest results TSH .02. (0.3-4.4) 3T4 16.3. (9-19) 3T3 5.4 (2.6-5.7)

My vitamin levels are all good as I do supplement and G/F. I feel well although have bouts (2/4) days of very tired but I've had a major stress in last 6 months and packing a house up on my own to move so life's still a but stressed so unsure if it's thats it or not

I am still on a herbalist formula (unsure what's in it) for graves and my TPA are now 200 ( «60) so they are lowering gradually

I haven't taken carbizamole for over 3 months now and have Dr appointment in a couple of weeks (never seen an endo) what are your thoughts please?

Thank you lovely people as I know your advice will be so helpful

Xx

What is TPA? Do you mean Thyroid Peroxidase Antibodies? If so, they are Hashi's antibodies, and they're coming down means nothing at all. Certainly nothing to do with taking carbimazole.

According to your past posts, you don't even know if you have Grave's, because your Grave's antibodies - TSI or TRAB - have never been tested. But having high TPOab suggests you have Hashi's. In which case, carbimazole wasn't the right treatment, anyway.

Hey Debs. This is a little confusing 😬 I thought all people with Graves saw an Endo?

And do you me FT4/3 (free T4/3) and not 3T4?

TPO ab are autoimmune thyroid disease, not Graves, and your current results are euthyroid (although some endos might call them subclinical hyper because of the low TSH), which is probably why antibodies are reducing - you haven't had an attack recently. With autoimmune thyroid disease you have periods with hyper bloods as your thyroid is destroyed and dumps hormones into the blood stream, then euthyroid and hypothyroid. Carbimazole doesn't really make much difference as the hyper results are not caused by your thyroid producing hormone but by the destruction of the tissue. It is possible to have both Graves and autoimmune thyroid disease at once, to know for certain, you need results for TRab, TSI ab, TPO ab and TG ab
