NDT and migraines

Good afternoon everyone,

I’ve recently increased my NDT dose to 2 grains, since this increase I’ve had a couple of migraines

Just wondering if NDT could be the cause or just a coincidence?

Difficult to say so may be check your bloods if been in the current dose long enough or cut back a little to see if that helps but still retest after 6 weeks on that dose.

which NDT are you taking? I'm trying armour now and have awful headaches non stop

Hi danym

I’m taking thiroid

It’s years since I suffered with headaches, NDT is the only new factor....

To be fair I’m going to stick it out for another couple of weeks as I don’t want to go back on levo

i had that once when first starting a ndt med. my dose was too high too quick and i also needed to divide the tablets out and not take as much at once.......i even had a mri...test didnt show i was hyper but my body sure did....he cut my dose in half and put me on t4 only meds and all went away in a couple weeks

i take ndt meds now but i gradually increased and knew that headache means too much
