ndt and snoring

Hi all i take 2 &half grains of wp daily since i have been taking them i have started snoring just lately it has got really bad my hubby said it is only since i started ndt but i don't think it has anything to do with it so said i would post a question, so here it is has any one had this problem with ndt ?

Yes, they are related. If you are not an optimal T.H. dose the tongue increases in volume(due to insufficient treatment or overmedicated) and can trigger snoring or sleep apnea(OSA).

Hi adin thanks for replying so quickly i have been wakening up in the night with a dry tongue which feels swollen how do you tell if its due to too much or not enough i had a test for sleep apnea which proved negative thanks again.

swollen tongue can be from low b12

Have you had recent thyroid labs? Is your T4 decent, meaning not at the bottom of the reference range? Some people have to add T4 to their NDT to get to healthy levels. Here's an article about sleep apnea and snoring: tiredthyroid.com/blog/2016/...

Hi HIFL thanks for your reply thank you for the info have had a look and am going to get bloods done again had them done in march so think it will be okay to have them done again now

I don't snore but since starting NDT I have started dribbling ( from the mouth I hasten to add ) lol

Not during the day either , just at night 😕 Yuk !!

Hi Pinkpeony bet you get through some pillows but i would rather dribble than snore (been relegated to spare room its that bad) i wake myself up sometimes thanks for making me smile .

thanks jacrjacr have had a look think i am deficient in some will wait till blood results come back
