Has anybody had a test for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)?

Or other virus's?

Has anyone found the cause of their thyroid disease?

I had symptoms of hypothyroidism for >30 years, but contribute them worsening to getting chicken pox 15 years ago. No exaggeration that I was so ill I thought I'd die the day before the pox appeared, & then looked like someone from a plague horror film. I hadn't recovered a year later. Bad GP diagnosed FM without testing for anything else, & it was only when I found out I had a pituitary adenoma that I put two & two together.

do you have a current or past infection? my tests showed a pst infection and antibodies to it. I have hashimoto I don't know how to treat this virus, i've read that it stays in your body forever

Yep... Unfortunately you are right. EBV causes Hashis, Hypo, Lupus, and other auto immune diseases. And fighting it is very expensive.

Yes EBV caused my Hashimotos. I read a book recently which shed some light on the situation. I highly recommend to do your own research and try out various methods. I cannot say if it will work yet. I have been on special diet and suppliment plans for 1 year and little progress. However I let my virus develop until I figured out it was the cause. So healing my body will likely take much more time.
