So I’m thinking of getting a proper set of thyroid bloods done, my quick question is this: do doctors generally take any notice or even acknowledge the results if they’re not done by their own labs?
Thanks

Depends entirely on the doctor. Some accept them, some don't. If your GP doesn't like the fact that you've had private tests done, if there are any concerning results then just invite your GP to do his own if he doesn't like yours. Point out that they're done by accredited labs that the NHS uses.
My GP accepted my Genova private test as sufficient evidence (with history) to refer me to an Endocrinologist, though she kept harping back to my TSH being in range (FT4 was borderline low and FT3 below reference). The endocrinologist looked at the results and asked to keep a copy, and I suspect they were what stopped him dismissing me out of hand (my symptoms are irritating, but in the grand scheme of hypothyroidism not dire), but he wasn't prepared to do anything until he had repeated the tests.
