High out of range T4 levels

Hi I've just had my test results come in:

TSH (0.27-4.2) =0.19

T4 (12-22) = 24

A bit worried as went up to 75g levo 6 weeks ago from 50g. What does this indicate? Due to see GP next week.

Thanks

It could mean that a 25mcg increase is slightly too much and maybe a 12.5mcg increase would have been better.

But because you have Hashi's, your levels are going to fluctuate anyway and you could just be heading towards a hyper phase of Hashi's.

Or, if you take a B Complex containing Biotin, or Biotin as an individual supplement, did you leave it off for 7 days before the test? Biotin is used in Medichecks testing procedure and they tell us to leave off Biotin for 7 days as it can give false test results.

I am not taking any other supplements so yes, prob on too high a dose which GP was worried about happening anyway.

Are there symptoms associated with a hyper phase of Hashis?

Are there symptoms associated with a hyper phase of Hashis?

Symptoms of overactive thyroid - maybe sweating, anxiety, palpitations, etc. But I wouldn't really expect them with FT4 only just over range like yours is, if you are heading towards a hyper phase your FT4/FT3 will likely go quite a bit higher, maybe TSH will become suppressed.

More importantly, how are you feeling on the new dose? Any improvements

Still feel rubbish but with no fatigue which is good but stomach/ibs issues have increased - trying low fodmap diet.

May improve with time, my results are very similar and I'm starting to feel more like myself aagain, have a look at improving your diet. Gluten and milk free worked for me. Best of luck

75 mcg is only a small dose for most people. But, it could be that you're just not converting your T4 to T3. You would need to have your FT4 and FT3 tested at the same time to know. :)
