Hi all I had two CT scans in a week and with both they injected me with that dye. I'm having trouble with my thyroid bloods due again next week I've hashis and I'm gone underactive. I had increased from 100 eltroxin to 125 and was starting to feel bit better but since the scans I'm dragging myself around. Do any of you think it's to do with the dye from the two CTs. Thanks

Reaction to CT contrast injection
I had a scan with dye in january and it didnt affect anything, but i don't have hash's, just under active T.
I wonder if there has been a change in your stress response and so cortisol output following the scans.
No effect on me and I have Hashis
Some people do have adverse reactions to contrast dyes.
I ended up in hospital for a week years ago . Had massive reaction and collapsed a few minutes after the injection .
I have ‘no contrast’ on notes now .
People certainly do react to iodine used in CT scan
I’m ok with the MRI contrast which is different.
Three years ago I had a CT scan with contrast dye and became I think , hypo as a result . Symptoms started to appear about a month after the scan .
I'm glad I saw this...I had cat scan w/dye and for a day after test my pulse was crazy high (no thyroid and on 2 grains AT) and normally I get no hyper symptoms ever and I also inject a monthly immunosuppressive drug that makes my pulse race for 2 days my Endo keeps telling me its not possible. I did a blood test a day after immuno injection and it does cause everything to drop thats why I wait a week or longer before doing blood test after injection and prednisone also causes my lab numbers to go super low. My issues with these temporary drops is Endos want to remove meds...I hate this disease.
Like Gcart, I reacted badly, and had to be kept in. Two days later I had a rash all over my body, and my skin peeled off. About a year later, a nurse wiped a cut with iodine and immediately I came up in huge blisters. My notes now say not to use iodine.
No wonder the colposcopy made me hop about a bit, much to the docs displeasure!
You can request a different contrast medium but they are not keen to use it as it is expensive.
Are you hypothyroid or hyper
