So sorry for all my questions. A very kind person on here suggested I get tested for vitamin deficiencies ...Vitamin d folate B12 .... are these vitamins something my local GP can test for or will I need to find some alternative practioner ? Thank you

Your GP can do them if he is willing, some will, some wont. You need vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12.
If GP wont do them the cheapest way is with one of our recommended labs and a thyroid/vitamin bundle is about the cheapest way of doing it.

It can be done by fingerprick (2 x microtainers each requiring 0.8ml of blood) or you can arrange venous blood draw if preferred at extra cost. If you take a B Complex containing Biotin or Biotin as an indiviual supplement, leave this off for 7 days before testing, also if you take iron tablets leave those off for 7 days and don't eat high iron foods such as liver, liver pate or black pudding in the week before testing as ferritin is included in the test.
