Left Side Toxic Adenoma - awaiting left lobectomy

Hello all, I have the above which causes hyperthyroidism - I am on 15 mg of carbimazole each day which completely keeps me stable. The goiter has not grown at all from when I discovered it and it is benign. It causes me no discomfort with swallowing or breathing and Im quite happy on the carbimazole which keeps my regular blood tests results ok.

Im due for surgery to have half of it removed in November this year, I keep reading on here posts saying that unless cancerous people would not have had there thyroid removed (or half of it) due to the medication and how you feel afterwards.

Im on the NHS in the Bath area, can anyone PM me any private thyroid specialists numbers to that I can get another opinion as to its removal or any help at all with this as its not something I want to really do unless completely necessary.

Ive been tested for Graves and also Hashimoto's and apparently these are not showing. My endo seems keen for its removal or radio Iodine (Radio Iodine I have refused)

If you are just having half your thyroid removed you may not need thyroxine afterwards, I lived normally with half my thyroid and no meds for 30 odd years.
