Feeling weak and unwell
Your T4 is on the low side. I wonder what your T3 is. Do you know what’s caused your blood clot? If your T3 is low your circulation could be sluggish making it more likely for clot to form. I had one a few years before starting t3
Hi thanks for taking time to reply I know that blood flow in this leg is slow I was told that when I had a ct scan I’ve got an unprovoked clot so tests are to be carried out now it’s my third now since Oct but last one was put down to flight to Turkey so I’m unsure thanks again
A year ago on 100mcg Levothyroxine your FT4 and FT3 were both low. So Levothyroxine was increased to 125mcg

You need TSH, FT4 and FT3 all tested together. This should be done as early as possible in morning and fasting and last Levothyroxine dose 24 hours before blood test
Do you normally take Levothyroxine when you wake up?
You know Levothyroxine needs to be taken on empty stomach and nothing apart from water for at least an hour after
No other medication at same time
Ask GP to retest thyroid including FT3.
Your FT4 is too low, likely FT3 is low too
On Levothyroxine FT4 should be in top third of range, around 18-20
This suggests you need further dose increase, despite low TSH. TSH is very often not a reliable test once we are on Levothyroxine
You also need vitamin D, folate and ferritin tested
Can see you have B12 injections, is this due to Pernicious Anaemia or just low B12 due to being hypothyroid?
Hi I’ve no idea about the B12 as I have been on it for years at least now due to your help I have an idea what to aim for as nothing gets explained and unless GP thinks we need seeing after a telephone conversation we don’t even get an appointment to see one it’s an absolute joke thanks very much for your help
Thousands on here forced to get full testing privately
Thyroid testing on NHS is far too often completely inadequate
Just testing TSH and FT4 is not enough
As absolute minimum you need TSH, FT4 and FT3
Ideally also vitamin D, folate and ferritin too

Medichecks Thyroid plus ultra vitamin or Blue Horizon Thyroid plus eleven are the most popular choice. DIY finger prick test or option to pay extra for private blood draw. Both companies often have special offers, Medichecks usually have offers on Thursdays, Blue Horizon its more random
Recommended on here that all thyroid blood tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. Last Levothyroxine dose should be 24 hours prior to test, (taking delayed dose immediately after blood draw). This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results.
