I have been on a small maintenance dose of Carbimazole due to a nodule on my thyroid. I take this in the morning, From about 5.00 pm. I have to put on a t shirt,, go barefoot and hang out of the nearest window, even in the coldest weather. wander about the house until dawn and only then do I feel cool enough to go back to bed. Cooking dinner is so uncomfortable with the oven going. I get so tired and tetchy during the day. Is rhis happening to anyone else please? Polly X

Hi Polly, do u have Graves?

I get what mean about the heat. I've the same problem except mine can happen any time, and yes, it's horrible during cooking when there's an attack.

I use ice packs and drink ice water and take cold baths, eat soya foods and when available, stay in an aircon environment. It provides some relief.

I have not yet gotten a diagnosis but with all the inflammation going on in my body, I'm sure that's one explanation. Stress and I suspect physical activity, are triggers.

I totally empathise!
