What are you wanting it to help? I think there is too much evidence in it's favour for it to be hype. I'm currently trying it to see if it will help my joint pain and reduce my stress levels but as with thyroid meds, it can be trial and error with regards type, strength, dosage etc..and can apparently take up to 8 wks to start seeing any benefits (I'm only on wk3).

I am part of a really great fb group which is very informative and friendly. I would suggest you join and do some research, ask questions etc.. X

Not sure about those symptoms, definitely worth asking in a cbd user group like the one I mentioned though. I think mostly it's pain, depression and anxiety that people say it works best for but it won't do you any harm if it doesn't do any good so definitely worth a try in my opinion. You do have to be careful about interactions with meds though.

I will thank you

Hi. I've been taking an organic, pesticide free, quality controlled, not tested on animals products for just under a year and it has helped me a lot. (NB: There are various strengths to choose from.

Humans (and animals) all have an endocannabinoid system which means that, pretty much every cell in our body, inc the brain, can recognise and use the cannabinoids found in CBD.

In fact, our own bodies MAKE our own cannabinoids, but as we age or experience ill health, we lose our ability to produce our own. That is why CBD (Cannabis) is so useful to our bodies as it's recognised by the body as a natural substance.

You should, with a good quality oil (purity and potency), feel a difference within a day. It lifts your mood naturally and will affect pain in the body almost immediately.

I have a dog who had skin inflammation issues and would scratch himself red raw and bleeding within half an hour of the issue starting, however after giving him some drops (can get it for pets too at a lower dose), within 15 mins he'd calmed down enough for me to put aloe on his wounds and then keep him calm enough to not scratch and not be in pain. He had completely recovered in 3 days. Wounds healed and no problem with issues (irritation, pain) during that time. It supports renewed cell growth and is therefore neurogenerative and neuroprotective for those worried about or treating cognitive decline/memory issues too.

It is not called the miracle plant for nothing. And, when Big Pharma demonises something, you can bet it's because it's so good it's encroaching on their profits.

The key is, however to find GOOD QUALITY OIL. Hemp is typically treated with pesticides, so CBD needs to come from an organic source, with high quality extraction, with 3rd party lab tests so you can see consistency of production AND quality is maintained too and that info comes from an external source which is therefore unbiased in it's reporting.

There is so much info on the internet - or at leat there was - I've educated myself over the last year for my own thryoid needs (my hair regrowth was noticeable within one week of taking the (quality) oil for example. I have had problems with accessing it consistently due to low income, however I immediately notice the difference when I go on it.

You CANNOT get a good product from the High Street. You need to find a good source online that fits the above criteria. I get my from the USA, I'm part of a MLM (multi level marketing company) which has been brilliant: ethical, great quality products and great price for products too.

Good luck with trying it out. Strongly recommend you do.

MG x

The company I use is in the UK, they produce high quality, organic, lab tested oils, are the cheapest I've found and 100% of their profits go to an animal shelter for sick and disabled dogs. I would highly recommend them but I do disagree that cbd doesn't always have an immediate effect. You have to build up your dose slowly until you reach your 'sweet spot' much the same as with thyroid meds x

Yes. I'm not saying you may not need to tweak your dosage/strength, however you will get some response fairly immediately, even if it's not the optimal experience you're seeking. It is absorbed really quickly by the body and optimised when you take some kind of 'good' fat at the same time.

I think it depends on the individual and the type of oil.
