I have been taking Thyroxine for nearly 20 years. At the moment my dose is 100mg per day. Over the last few months I have this condition where i feel hot and sweaty most of the time. I am 67 so it is not connected to the menapuse. If i stop my dose for a few days this improves. I had my TSH tested last weel and it was 3.85 mu/L [0.35 - 4.94]. So in the normal limit. I have read that being hot and sweaty is a symptom of Hyperthyroidism so why am I getting this when I am supposedly Hypothyroid. I have never felt ehtriely well since my diagnosis all those years ago.

sounds like you might be are having cortisol spikes, so try a saliva test. or you may need to reduce your dose - even though your TSH level is normal and still calling for more. If you start feeling crummy I would expect you are having conversion issues caused by cortisol spikes. Start with a Saliva test.
I know this is an old post but curious how things worked out for you, as I am starting to have these symptoms while hypo per blood results.
