Ft3 & ft4 on very low end of “normal” range and... - Thyroid UK
Ft3 & ft4 on very low end of “normal” range and tsh on high end of normal. What does this mean? First test for thyroid.
I have deleted the identical duplicate of this post. At time of deletion, it had no replies.
while that's not 100% definitive, it does look low.
Thyroid hormone is generally pretty safe to trial. I'd ask your doctor about it.
Strange range for free T3. Could be stage autoimmune thyroid disease or just general hypothyriodism, but NHS won't treat you until you are much more ill. Other countries might be different.
Looks like you're on the way to hypothyroidism. Some countries will diagnose when TSH reaches 3, in the UK it's 10.
Do you have symptoms of hypothyroidism - check here thyroiduk.org/tuk/about_the...
If so, and you are looking for a diagnosis, then do your test as early as possible in the morning, no later than 9am, and delay breakfast/coffee/tea (you can drink water) until after the blood draw. This gives the highest possible TSH and you need it over range for a doctor to consider a diagnosis.
If your FT4 goes below range and your TSH is either low, normal or slightly elevated, your doctor should consider Central Hypothyroidism, which is where the problem lies with the pituitary or the hypothalamus rather than with the thyroid itself.
Thanks for the feedback. I had my blood drawn around 8:30am on an empty stomach. I also have most of the symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, joint pain mostly in my feet, muscle weakness and cramping if I do anything as simple as grating cheese😌, mild depression, dry skin but not thick or flaky, feeling cold when others are not, etc
I had a full blood test and I seem to have an elevated white blood cell level, just within the high end of the normal range. My testosterone is also just within the low end of the normal range. My blood count is also low.
