I have hashimoto, and central thyroid problems. Having read the posts here which I read regularly, I decided to stop taking Levothyroxine and Liothyronine for 24 hours.
Interestingly, my levels were FT4 19.1, FT3 4.06, TSH <0.01.
Please advise. Is this possible?

To interpret blood test results, we need the reference ranges as well as the result, so can you please provide them - they are usually at the side of the result, sometimes in brackets, eg TSH: 2.5 (0.2-4.2)
Also, what were your results before, so we know what we are comparing this set of results against.
I decided to stop taking Levothyroxine and Liothyronine for 24 hours.
When doing blood tests, we take last dose of Levo 24 hours before blood draw, and last dose of Liothyronine 8-12 hours before blood draw, otherwise results aren't accurate.
Tenzen, the LT4 has a half life of nine days, so you wouldn't notice anything definite with FT4 levels for three or four weeks after a total withdrawal.
The LT3 has a half life of 24 hours. After 24 hours, you'd still have half of what you'd last taken, plus half of half of what you took the day before, plus half of half of half of the dose from the day before that.
There was still plenty of everything circulating in your plasma when you took the blood test. If you really wanted to see a drop, you'd have to stop everything for quite a while, but why would you want to do that? The effects could be dire on your physical health.
Thank you for your reply. I would not want to stop taking the meds. I just needed to know why there was not much of a difference in the levels. You have kindly given me the answer. Once again thank you so much for your advise.
