Hi all. I'd appreciate any recommendations for magnesium citrate? Also is powder or pill better? Thanks in advance.

Tablets contain excipients (inactive ingredients, fillers) that are necessary to make a tablet. You have to take the set dose in the tablet.

A good quality powder will contain only magnesium citrate. You can start low and build up to the perfect dose for you.

So it's down to personal choice.

A good magnesium citrate powder is Natural Calm Original

I bought from here a couple of weeks ago, best value at the moment

Thanks for your replies. It would seem that even a task like choosing a magnesium supplement is a complicated minefield. Might I also need to take into consideration that I have some coronary artery disease?

Is there a particular reason you are considering magnesium citrate?

Here is an article about the different forms of magnesium and their uses, in case one of them may be more suited to your needs:

Hi SeasideSusie. I was only considering magnesium citrate because of the potential laxative effect. I'm now thinking I should opt for magnesium taurate as I have coronary artery disease. I tried Better You topical magnesium (with Better You D3/K2 oral spray) but I can't stand the smell!

I use magnesium taurate as I have had heart problems the last 12 months or so. I also do use some magnesium citrate as I need help with my bowels that nothing else touches. I couldn't stand the feel of magnesium oil on my skin!

Thank you. Would you be able to recommend a magnesium taurate?

Hi, just cam across his post after searching magnesium. I just wondered how you are getting on with your magnesium? Ive found out my magnesium is low, especially in comparison to calcium, on. Hair mineral analysis and have been arching for a magnesium supplement this week.

Went for the body spray yesrerdY as I was getting more ad more confused by the choices😀 I was deciding between that and Biocares powder which is citrate and malate combined, after reading the abobe am thinking inshoulve gone for the powder, ahhh, lol! Oh well t least the spray will be a start while I dither and decide😀 seem to learn a bit more each time I read, but it takes so long wen u just want to get on!
