White Coated Tongue and Immune System

I developed a bladder infection a few weeks ago-all sorted now after antibiotics. At the start of the infection, my tongue was coated white with thicker bits on the sides. Could this be related to the infection-my practice nurse hadn't a clue but said it didn't look like oral thrush. waiting for a swab test result now but takes ages. Anyone had a similar experience?

It sounds very much like a Candida infection to me. Try some probiotics, particularly Water Kefir.

Thank you for your reply. Turns out it is a hard coating at the sides du3 to teeth grinding! Saw a dentist yesterday...so problem solved and yes still taking the live yoghurt.

Antibiotics are good but they do kill "good" bugs in the digestive system too. Any live yoghurt will help bring the good bugs back.

Thanks serenfach I am taking the Greek yoghurt and apple cider vinegar for probiotics.
