I think more will be taking Naturethroid as WP is more expensive I believe. I did very well on Naturethroid. Maybe an increase will help you feel better. That's how they used to dose patients before blood tests - gradually increase till patient felt well.
It is disappointing when we try an option. I tried around 4 NDTs before Naturethroid.
Yes I am taking WP Thyroid. I was doing great on it until my adrenals became an issue. Did a 24 hour saliva stress test which showed that my cortisol levels are low (very low), high, low and high. This is what has caused me to suffer from insomnia since October last year. I am treating my adrenals appropriately so am starting to feel better again. My ferratin levels are low and iron is optimal which means I need to check MTHFR.
You need to make sure you check your iron, ferratin, VitD, B12 and cortisol levels. You need to make sure these are optimal. These not being optimal will make you struggle to raise your dose as T3 will not get into your cells properly.
You also need to make sure you are raising your dose regularly so that you reach an optimal dose so your symptoms disappear. Otherwise you with become hypo.
I do not have a thyroid so I need to be on between 3-5 grains. I am currently on 3 1/4 grains.
I follow the Stop The Thyroid Madness protocol.
I didn't feel great until I got to 2 1/2 / 3 grains. Keep persevering but make sure you check the items above.
