Hi

I’ve just received my supply of NDT and I was hoping someone could advise me on the dosage and process of swapping from Levothyroxine please? I have no idea where to start. 😭

I’m currently taking 175 mcg of Levo my last blood test was as follows

TSH 0.011 ( 0.27-4.20)

T4 23 ( 12-22)

T3 6.3 (3.10-6.8)

Even though my results look good I still feel awful so hoping NDT suits me better

Hey, your results are picture perfect. You say you feel awful, what symptoms do you suffer from?

Have you had nutrients checked: B12, iron panel, D3, Zinc, Folate? Often deficiencies in these make us unwell.

Another reason could be low/high cortisol. Have you ever had it checked?

My vitamins are ok except my B12 which is too high. I haven’t had cortisol checked but I’m hoping I can persuade my rheumatologist at my October appointment to check them 💐

Oh dear, I’m sorry not sure if i know why you could still feel unwell 😕 hope you get to the bottom of it! Sending hugs!

Thank you that’s really kind of you. I’ve read lots of people still feel unwell even though their numbers look good. Mostly people say it’s likely vitamin related or they need to go gluten free. No ones ever given another reason, so I was thinking that perhaps it’s because Levi just doesn’t suit some people and they feel better trying something different. I hope so ! 💐

Could be, we do hear stories like that. I am on NDT myself and feel tons better than on Levo. But I had a bunch of other issues and never as great looking blood results ☺️

Are you self medicating on the thyroxine?

Self medicating? Sorry I’m not sure what you’re asking. I was prescribed Levothyroxine.

Oh, self medicating means that you have bought it yourself without a prescription and you have answered the question.
