Toxic overactive thiyroid

Well back in hospital my thiyroid went nuts just as I was getting over a lung infection because I could not take the meds because I was vomting..this lasted for over 2 weeks.i was taking my PTU but the only way I could take them was to take then lie down because I could not keep them down I would be dry wrenching even on my bk I was not really getting them in to my system😡Both my GP and endo knew this,,and has done nothing. I rang my endos scretery to beg my endo to contact me as I feel my thiyroid is becoming toxic the lady said I'll try to get her to contact u in the mean time I will put you on a cancellation list nice of her..two days later I recived a call from the endo clinic it was the nice lady again I know she felt sorry for me but said I needed to contact my GP as I could not see the endo..quick note was diagnosed Sep last year,,in the meantime I was becoming worse. I rang my GP for a call out but our surgery only do triage on Mondays meaning dr will ring you bk in an hour well he did and asked if I could come down to the surgery..this man has no heart I could bearly put my foot out of the bed without server shaking of all limbs,,and as soon as I sat up I wretched..or was sick if I had drank anything I was like this for 4 days eventually after me wrenching down the phone he agreed to come out,then another call about 2 hours later from my surgery from some dr I'd never met asking if I was still the same..I wretched YES..ok I'll come out about 5 o'clock this was about half eleven... I clung on till she came only by lying down as soon as I sat up for the blood pressure ect I was wrenching bad I felt delirious she did a good job and saw the results and got me in to hospital she put toxic thiyroid on the letter for the hospital my t3 was 39😱 I spoke to a lovely man in A&E because their were no beds on my ward!!! He told me you are a Nats whisker away from thiyroid Storm they got me on anti sickness strong stuff so I could take the thiyroid meds and that worked iv been ok this last 2 days no sickness or nausea I have even been eating😋 I'm still on a transition ward waiting to move on to my ward my endo was coming to see me at one thirty yesterday all arranged needless to say she didn't turn up that's ok because I know how busy they are but not to tell me that's ignorance so I have demanded she meet with me while I'm in hospital.some dr took me off the introvines anti sickness and put me on the tablet form..sorry he was a liar he put me on the same as my dr gave me to which I vomited so no good he knew this by my noted I gave to a nurse the a and e gentleman told me them anti sickness were rubbish and not for people with toxic thiyroid I totally demanded to see him to which the nurse ran out then came bk with the stronger one in tablet form😡 Why do they do this do they realise their keeping us ill theirs no excuse for this incompidence the nurse did say later you are lucky to get these because they are expensive I don't care if their a hundred pound a tablet as long as they get me able to take my thiyroid meds and get my t3 down😡 Also I asked what level do I need to get it down to no one knew..then dr pipes up ho your endo will know,,,,,what a joke,,,,😡😡😡😡😡

Were you given any antibiotics for your lung infection?

If you were, which one were you given.

Cannot stomach them,,,and I know theirs more than one type I was taken to hospital in 2015 passing blood both ends my consultant tried me on 5 different types I was sick on all of them,,,and yes I was given antibiotics by my GP took them guess what happend.....sick as a pig just threw up down they went up they come story of my life came out of hospital with a diagnosis of colitis..🙄🙄🙄🙄

Antibiotics such as Fluoroquinolones cause severe problems for many patients.

I understand that auto-immune patients can be especially vulnerable.

Thanks for that...that's the first I have heard that antibiotics can be bad if your auto immune🤔 I know graves is auto immune but my consultants won't clarify if I have auto immune or not I don't think they did that on my bloods because they only mentioned the t3...🤔🤔🤔
