Hyper to Hypo,But still thyroid is visible. What are the stages of thyromegaly?

Before 1 month, the blood test shows TSH was 11.4. I WAS having 5 mg OD carbimazole as I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. BUT After 5 months I went to Hypo.My endo suggest to hold the medicine now.It is going to be one month,I have been stop taking carbimazole.I hadn't had my weight loss, all are fine but still I can see my thyroid being enlarged. Does thyromegaly slowly progress to bigger one?Does it increase even if you are on hypo?Does it increase even when your t3 t4 are normal?

You asked in a comment on a previous post Caty0 whether I would respond to this one, but I’m not sure there is much I can add to what I’ve said already.

My thyroid was swollen when I was first diagnosed with Graves’, and the swelling went down pretty quickly as my thyroid levels reduced, but I don’t think we ever established whether you had Graves’ or not. Now you say you are hypo, which is quite possible, and could mean that you’ve had a completely different autoimmune condition all along. Again, without antibodies, we can’t tell.

Not what you're looking for?
