Thyroid from Thailand feels less potent than Nature-throid.

Hi all.

I started taking Thyroid 1 grain since a little more than a week ago and I am feeling kind of tired especially today after I've slept 17 hours so I wonder if any of you have felt any difference when you switched to same amount. I was taking Nature throid 1 grain. Do you think the 1 grain for both are not totally equivalent? I decided to increase my dose to 1 1/2 grain today.

I found Naturethroid weaker than Thiroid (not going on blood tests)& this was before the reported change in manufacturing.I changed to Thiroid because of cost & worries about reported supply interruption. Not only are Naturethroid much more expensive, they are subject to VAT at the UK border,as they are imported from the US.

I now take TR Mann.I was taking 2,5 grain but have lowered to 2 grain,as my latest blood tests showed FT3 over range.

In future I will be sticking to TR Mann or (Thyroid S if there is a supply problem)They are coated & are said to be absorbed in the intestine beyond the stomach.I have a gut feeling(Sorry!) that this suits me better than chewing non-coated tabs.

I found the exact opposite - got ill on Nature Throid, and have now moved to Thiroid-S and feeling better. We are all different and our bodies need different things but the reality is we have to experiment and without the medical profession. I would not wish Hashis on my worst enemy!

Nature-Throid : One grain is 65 mg (actually 64.8) and contains .038 mg (or 38 mcg) of T4 and 9 mcg of T3

Thiroyd : “thiroyd” at one grain contains T3 at 8.31 microgram; T4 at 35 microgram,

I’ve had problems with thyroid-s and now it seems my naturethroid might not be working well either! Are they all having issues?
