Nature thyroid

I am about to start taking nature thyroid after 5 years on levothyroxine and not doing well at all. I know to start on 1 grain but do i take the 1 grain in 1 dose or do i split the dose, Any advice please

What dose Levothyroxine are you taking?

I'm taking 125mcg daily

That's roughly equivalent to 2 grains. I would start by halving Levothyroxine dose and introduce 1 grain NDT and in a couple of weeks stop Levothyroxine and increase NDT to 1.5 grains. After another week or two you can increase to 2 grains.

By the way, would you split the ndt dose or take it all at once like i do my levothyroxine?

I would divide it into 2 doses morning and bedtime until you are comfortable and know how you are tolerating the T3.
