T3 cost has increased in only 3 months, recommendations needed for sourcing abroad please.

Hi,

Could anyone please private message me with recommendations as to where they've been sourcing their T3? I was prescribed 2 x 5mcg in September. Drugsdirect price was £360 for 168 tablets (nearly 3 months supply). Just looked tonight, price now £420. Fortunately last time my local pharmacy did a special order and was reduced to £275. As I'm barely working, I can't sustain this but it's the only thing that takes away the constant feeling of suffocation.

Can anyone recommend a German pharmacy? Just hoping that my consultant will be happy to write the correct wording for Thybon so that I can post the prescription to Germany. Any comments greatly appreciated.

Best to get a prescription for liothyronine 20mcg tablets and halve them- the German Thybon20Henning tablets are large and easy to break. You can buy packs of 50 or 100 tablets.

Thanks Quokka. I'm so relieved that my consultant was happy to write Thybon etc on the prescription today. Was really easy to use the site so hopefully I'll be receiving my medication very soon.
