Soya with Levothyroxine

Hi,

I’ve stopped drinking milk and milk products to try and get a healthier diet. I’m drinking soya milk at the moment but have just seen something about this affecting Levo - does anyone know if this is the case and should I choose an alternative?

Thanks

There are lots of discussions about soy on here:

My personal opinion is that soy is not a health food. In fact, it's very unhealthy. I would advise you to change to something else. :)

I recently tried one of innocent's new range, the almond one, which I really enjoyed - just roasted almonds, spring water and a touch of sea salt; no stabilisers or gums.

Many non-dairy subs. Cashew milk's my favorite. If you can't find a nut milk without added junk, it's super easy to make almond milk & it tastes better than any you can buy.

Oat milk is our favourite, Oatly mainly, but the alpro one is ok

Coconut milk is great in coffee according to a carnivorous friend of mine who is forced to eat vegan with me when we go out. No one should be eating fake foods made from soya - fake cheese, fake milk or fake meat. Even tofu is not a good idea if you are hypo, but fermented soy: tempeh, natto, tamari, miso is OK.

No soya in any form what’s so ever

No soya only when fermented
