Will drinking decaffeinated coffee with milk and sugar affect the absorption of levothyroxine? The morning is the best time for me to take my medication according to my lifestyle and other medication which I need to take at night.

Can I drink decaffeinated coffee after taking Levothyroxine?
Do you always get up for loo in the night? Many people take levothyroxine then, so it’s well away from any supplements, other medications, coffee etc
A weekly pill dispenser is helpful for seeing if missed dose or not
No I don’t wake for anything! 😂 I could sleep and sleep….and then some! I have read that people do this. I wonder if before bed is better but I tend to eat quite late once my young children are asleep and settled. Coffee & breakfast is what gets me out of bed so delaying it feels quite a challenge. What do most people do?

Decaffeinated coffee still contains some caffeine, not as much as reguar coffee but still some all the same. I delay my decaff coffee and take it nowhere near my thyroid meds.
Yup I have red bush for breakfast - an hour after meds - then decaf coffee mid morning.
I have taken to having a proper cup of tea later in the day as I really missed it. And I might add back in proper coffee at some point as I think I read it’s not actually the caffeine that affects absorption but it could be bad for another reason… Someone will correct me if wrong.
