I started taking levothyroxine 3 months ago and have been drinking it with a few sips of sugar free orange squash. I've recently read that you're supposed to take it with a full glass of water and not just a few sips. Am I able to take it with a glass of squash or will this affect absorbtion?
Thanks

In that case I would research the best product with no or the fewest artificial sweeteners and other stuff. Then I would try to use the minimum amount to tolerate the water. If really dilute probably not a major issue but certainly something to be aware of.
I doubt the research has been done. So the only way of being sure it doesn't affect absorption is to avoid it.
Maybe contact the squash manufacturers and ask them - after all, they do have some sort of vested interest! But I doubt they'd be in a position to answer.
I very much doubt it will make a difference. Taking levothyroxine with a glass of water is for optimum absorption, in everyone. As long as you are fairly consistent any small deficit in absorption will be allowed for in your dosage. I take mine with orange juice three minutes before my moring porridge, never had a problem.
Try to train yourself to drink water. Start off slowly with a little and increase a little more each day. Try not to drink water that is too cold: water with the chill taken off is easier to drink in large quantities.
This all might seem obvious but I hope this helps.
