Remembering Dr Gordon Skinner - who fought passionately and against massive pressure for his patients - he believed in them and spent his life helping them get back to health. Gordon Skinner you are always our champion there will be no other. The earth was lucky to have you - you’re forever my inspiration.

Totally agree. He was a splendid man and simply wanted to help all of us to regain our health.

Very sad. How did he die, was it suspicious.

Dr. Lowe another thyroid supporter died unexpectedly too.

He died of a stroke, if I remember correctly.

No, it wasn’t suspicious.

GMC killed him whilst it consistently and actively failed to protect so many patients from medical harms. He was hounded by GMC. There was no need for that.

Stress is the MAJOR cause of cardiac conditions/strokes.

I remember some of that now. How sad. Why don't they want us to be well, I don't get it? It's the same with vitamin B12 injections and their problems .

I agree, a most wonderful man who made me realise I was neither going mad nor dying, and who got me back to good health. The interests of his patients were always his primary concern - listening to them, prescribing appropriately for them and offering a glass of something warming on a snowy day ;)

His treatment at the hands of the GMC was disgraceful and his death tragic. He was one of the best and I can’t believe it’s been 5 years already!

So sad. My appointment was usually straight after lunch as I had travelling to think about. I think it was my last appointment with him he offered to cook me some lunch! I lied and said sandwiches in the car but such a knowledgeable lovely man. I did see him again as we were together in the lunch queue at a thyroid symposium. He was speaking. It was three weeks before his untimely death. So sadly missed.
