On my previous post omitted to say I take a Calcichew vit D daily, a probiotic capsule, curcumin and selenium.

Also I have been following a gluten free diet for around 8 years now.

Why do you take calcium? That's a very bad thing to take unless you absolutely have to. Taking vit D will increase your absorption of calcium from food, anyway. Although I doubt there's enough vit D in a calcichew! But, you do need to take vit K2 - MK7 to get the calcium into the bones and teeth, and stop it building up in the soft tissues. You also need to take magnesium when taking vit D. :)

How low was vitamin D?

Aiming to improve to at least 80nmol and around 100nmol may be better . Vitamin D mouth spray by Better You is good as avoids poor gut function.

It's trial and error what dose each person needs.

Once you Improve level, very likely you will need on going maintenance dose to keep it there.
