I’ve finally been able to get my full thyroid panel done and got the results today. I’m having lots of hypo symptoms including weight gain, puffy face, high cholesterol, brittle nails, dry hair, fatigue, heavy periods, depression, swollen thyroid gland with sometimes a red outline of it on my neck. I can see that I’m within the ‘normal’ range so the dr won’t treat it but I can also see I’m very low on vitamins and iron so any advice on supplements and what optimal levels would be would’ve very gratefully received!

This is from TUK - doctor should also take into account your clinical symptoms (but am not sure if he/she is aware of this). Most seem to just look at the TSH and if below 10 wont prescribe. Hopefully yours will take account of your rising TSH
Thank you Shaws. I’m going to make an appointment to see the doc just to get the swelling looked at but I don’t hold out any hope of actually being treated for it.
If I can get my vitamins to optimal levels then I might feel slightly better than I do now. I had laid off my vitamins for a week before my latest test to get a more accurate idea of any deficiencies.
