Tested in August with results

Doctors results a diagnosis of hyperthyroid

TSH 0.18 U/ml (0.38-5.33)

Serum free T4 11 pmol/L (5.6 - 21)

3 months later

TSH. 0.75 mIU/L. (0.27 - 4.20)

Free thyroxine. 17.800 pmol/L. (12.00 - 22.00)

Free T3. 6.34 pmol/L. (3.10 - 6.80)

Thyroglobulin anti. 12.900 IU/ml (0.00 - 115.00)

Thyr perox antibo. <9.0 IU/ml (0.00 - 34.00)

Currently my symptoms seem to have improved for a month after the first diagnosis but now. I am very much struggling with heart palpitations (fluttering) and intermittent racing. Irritability, anxiety (racing feeling but on and off) amount other symptoms.!

Medichecks say from results I’m a perfect specimen, however GP said that levels can fluctuate. Although, I took the last results at 15:40 at a time I was very much struggling. But feel my results look really good. This sends alarm bells as to, “what actually is wrong with me then?”

Any advice, greatly welcomed.

Are you going through the menopause/peri menopause? It can cause all of the symptoms you describe. You thyroid results look fine.

IMO, your FT3 could be too high. What are you taking? If NDT or T3, do you split the dose?

Still not on medication. My first endo appointment tomorrow.

Only had beta blockers to help with symptoms of heart.

Ok. Did they suggest anti-thyroid meds or going through RAI? If me, I would not want RAI (to kill the thyroid) unless it was a last resort. Once you do RAI then you will be on thyroid hormone replacement. Whole new “headache”.

Your thyroid looks fine - not sure why your TSH was a bit low when your T4 if anything was on the low side. I would expect to see T4 and T3 well over the top of the range for hyperthyroidism. In your second test, your results look good to me. Could your symptoms be anxiety? Are you having any hot flushes, shaking or diarrhea? I had all of these when I was hyper.

Probably worth checking again in 6-8 weeks and/or when you are symptomatic.
