My Gp is always on about my levels and to reduce as I’m getting to much thyroxine my TSH is 0.1 T4 20.5 which is rather low for me I feel better on the higher end of scale. My TSH has been 0.1 since starting meds back in 2000 can anyone shine a light as to why TSH has always been low.
PS I’ve told my Gp surely I would have lost the weight I have put on when my thyroid stopped functioning and if I’m getting too much I would be skinny and full of energy instead of an fat slow person. thanks in advance

Either your TSH is low because your pituitary believes there's enough thyroid hormone in your system. Or because your pituitary is not functioning correctly. And under-range TSH doesn't matter if your FT3 is still in-range. But, as he doesn't even test the FT3, there's no way of knowing. Your doctor should not be attempting to dose by the TSH. Can't comment on your FT4 because you haven't put the range.
How do you feel with these labs? If you feel good, then the dose should be left as it is. If you still feel hypo, then you should get your FT4 and FT3 tested at the same time to see how well you're converting. But, it's not correct that if you were over-medicated you would be skinny and full of energy. Exogenous hormone doesn't work that way, and too much can also make you put on weight.
