Low t4 on thyroid S

Does anyone else have very low T4 on thyoid S. I take 1.5grains of thyroid S plus 12mcg of t3. My results are:

TSH L 0.01 Range 0.27 - 4.20 mIU/L

Free T4 12.20 Range 12.0 - 22.0 pmol/L

Free T3 6.61 Range 3.1 - 6.8 pmol/L

Reverse T3* 13.0 Range 10 - 24 ng/dL

Reverse T3 ratio 33.10 Range - Normal >15 Ratio Borderline 12-15 Low <12

I am also going thru benzo withdrawal, been off for 14 months and still suffering bad, but taking the t3 to ensure I do not go into reverse t3, as I know stress can cause high reverse t3. My adrenal glands are struggling and I support them with adrenal glandular but not sure this is enough so doing another spit test to see if things are improving. I am still utterly exhausted.

Well, you don't have anything to worry about regarding reverse T3 where your thyroid is concerned. It can be due to high FT4 and making rT3 rather than reverse T3. But rT3 can be due to other things rather than thyroid. Your FT4 is very low and your rT3 is very low.

Considering that NDT (due to it's T3 content) and T3 generally lowers FT4, then seeing as you're taking both your FT4 result is not unexpected.

You could be like me - I take Levo plus T3 - I can't function with a low FT4, I need both FT4 and FT3 around 75% of range. If this is the case, then you might benefit from more NDT and less T3, or to be able to tweak doses more accurately then Levo plus T3.

Thanks for the help. My issue is so confused because of the symptoms of benzo withdrawal which is brutal. I have been taking t3 to ensure I do not go into reverse t3 as I am under such horrific stress with zero sleep for many nights and high anxiety.

FT4 is usually low on NDT, but it will be even lower if you take T3 also.
