When is B12 too high?

My latest blood tests show my B12 at 1394.0 pg/ml (200.0-970.0)

I have been taking 1 tablet a day of lamberts b12 1000mg since diagnosed hypo/ hashis just over a year ago.

My endo has told me to take 1 tablet twice a week now- but should I retest earlier than my 6 months check?

Has anyone else experienced this?

Once supplementing B12 - further testing is of little value - as results are skewed. Anyway the test result you have is circulating in the blood. B12 is needed in the cells 😊 Do you take a good B Complex to keep all the B's in balance ?

No - actually I don't- maybe I should take B complex instead of B12 for a while to see

Once you have started supplementing, there is no point in testing. You would need to be 4 months without supplementing before retesting.

Are you absolutely sure that you are able to absorb the supplements that you have been taking, there are several conditions that make absorption difficult or just not possible. Depending on your symptoms, you may need injections, the best website I have come across is Tracey Witty's b12deficiency.info

Thanks for that info- I expect I do have a problem with absorption- will check that website

If it turns out that you do have absorption problems, you will need injections, long term b12 deficiency can lead to problems like the ones in the link I am about to post b12deficiency.info/films
