I don't think Q10 is supposed to help with thyroid, is it?

Do not accept a diagnosis of over-active thyroid until they have tested your FT3 and antibodies. You need TRAB or TSI antibodies for Grave's, and TPO antibodies for Hashi's. With those results, it could be either - although you don't actually give a result and range for the FT4. Do not let them diagnose you with Grave's and put you on carbi without checking the Grave's antibodies first. Once they put you on it, it is difficult to get them to take you off it if you turn out to have Hashi's, not Grave's. :)

Well, yes, Q10 is good for helping with fatigue - but only if it's low Q10 that is causing the fatigue. If your fatigue is caused by thyroid problems, I doubt Q10 will help. Having said that, you might be more tired if you stopped it, so no harm in continuing with it. :)

Your FT4 does not look high enough to be Grave's. Therefore, you probably have Hashi's - like so many thousands of us. But, you do need those two types of antibodies tested to confirm.

Hashi's is 100% under-active in the end. But, it starts out with 'over-active' levels, and that's why doctors get confused - they've never quite worked out what high Hashi's antibodies means, nor how Hashi's works.

Q10 made me scratch very bad. Took ten days or more before. Stopped itching after stopping it. . . . Awful. A lil more energy. But was mainly spent scratching and wasn't pleasant. X. Hope this helps. X
