My daughter had her thyroid blood work done, due to my problem with hypo.
Do these seem right for someone not hypo? She isn't on any medication.
TSH 2.42 (.4 -4.2 ulU/mL)
FT4 0.8 (0.8-1.7 ng/dL
Total T3 86 (50-170 ng/dL)
Thanks for the help.

No, they don't. Her TSH is too high - not quite hypo, but her thyroid is struggling. What time did she have the blood draw?
And her FT4 is right on the bottom of the range, much too low.
The Total T3 test is of little use - it's the FT3 test we need - but even that shows her T3 low in range.
However, very unlikely that any doctor would give treatment based on these labs.
Why did she have the test done?
The doctor may treat if FT4 drops below the bottom of the range (even though it's on the brink just now), so it could be worth repeating the test in a few months to see if this has dropped any lower.
IMO, there is something going on. Her FT4 is very low. I wish they would have tested her Free T3, not total. Has she undergone a neck ultrasound? I suggest you get that. I would go to an endo that specializes in thyroid cancer just to be sure. I just met a teen that had a fresh scar. When I asked her a bout it she said she had PTC. Her mom and grandfather had thyroid cancer as well. The mom tried to get the doctors to test the daughter at age 9. They refused. Turned out to be cancer. Agree, she should get the TgAb tested to see if there is an auto-immune issue. Did she ever have Lyme disease?
Does she have any symptoms suggesting she is hypo? Test results don't give the full picture at all.
None so far. I was just a little concerned when I saw how low the FT4 was. And the TSH looked slightly high for a healthy thyroid. I wanted some opinions from the group. I truly appreciate the help given here.
