Hello Vanders. You are not the only one in this situation. They will claim you are over-medicated. There has been another post below today on the same subject if you skip down to Janepp’s post and look at the responses. The knowledgeable on here will offer you lots of advice and links to articles that show you may not be over-medicated. Diogenes and the administrators are fantastically helpful in this situation. What would we do without this forum? You are probably going to have to fight your corner so being prepared and well informed is essential. Don’t let them reduce your dose and make you ill. It is a pity you have no T3 results as that may show you don’t convert T4 very efficiently. You could get a private test to prove this. Good luck! 😀

Your doctor is going by TSH only and because it is below range he wants to reduce your dose. However, your FT4 is within range so you're not over medicated. However, if he insists, then stand your ground and say that as FT3 is the active hormone, will they please test that and if that comes back over range you will agree that you are overmedicated.
They never do enough tests, for some reason they think FT3 isn't important. However, for a full picture we need
TSH
FT4
FT3
Thyroid antibodies (to see if we have autoimmune thyroid disease)
and for thyroid hormone to work we need optimal levels of vitamins and minerals so it's important to test
Vit D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
If you can't get all these done with your GP, I'd seriously think about doing a private test with Medichecks or Blue Horizon to include all of them and then you'll know exactly what you're dealing with.
