I am about to order Medichecks Thyroid Check Ultra Vit, however at the checkout it states that finger prick sample is not recommended. Has anyone managed the finger prick sample of this blood test?

Yes, I do it by fingerprick every time, but I have done many and find it no problem. It requires 2 x microtainers each holding 0.8ml of blood = 1.6ml = approx 1/3rd of a teaspoonful. If you're unsure then you could go for the venous blood draw at extra cost.
Or you could try and if you fail they will send you a second test for free and you could perhaps arrange a venous blood draw for that.
I get the nurse at my Gp to take the bloods that I pay privately for, I guess they think it’s cheaper for them by me paying for the actual tests, so might be worth you asking.. I have done the finger prick bloods but I was sitting in the car which wasn’t the best place to do it..
Yes did the same one yesterday- just remember to put your hand in hot water for a few mins beforehand (I march on the spot while doing so to get my heartbeat going & the blood flowing) then position the vial on a low table so that your arm is hanging down while you gently massage your pricked finger. I ended up having to prick all five to get two vials filled but it wasn’t a problem. Oh, and drink lots of water the day before. Good luck 🤞
I’ve just finished a fingerpick test this morning. Did venous the first time but have now done fingerpick a couple of times. Just make sure you drink plenty of water the day before and either shower or wash hands in hot water before you start. I seem to get a better flow from my right hand fingers, although always start with the other hand. Follow their included instructions and you should be fine. Saves the hassle and cost of a venous blood draw.
Hi, I go to my nurse at the GPs and they do it for me (although they probably aren't meant to!). I don't have enough blood pressure to squirt out enough for the finger prick.
