I’ve seen a few posts on here suggesting black pudding for raising ferritin? I can’t stomach liver so am going to try black pudding. How much do I need to eat for the equivalent of 200mg liver? Thanks!

Black pudding - how much?

No idea ! - sorry. I chop it up - saute with mushrooms and make an omelette. Maybe a couple of ounces ... ?
Be aware if you are Gluten free that black pudding contains wheat flour. However Morrisons do GF black pudding in the fridge of their free from section! I also buy Spanish black pudding which contains rice! Hope the BP helps.

The iron content of black pudding varies with the manufacturer so it's not possible to give an accurate answer. If you buy it from the supermarket, see what the label says. If you buy it from the butcher you probably won't get an answer.
This article says that 100g of black pudding gives around 12mg iron

I love black pudding fried, or grilled, so that it is a little crispy. Then a barely cooked, runny egg yolk broken over it. Quick grind of pepper. Mmmmmm.
Don't worry too much about actual iron content. After all, what matters is its effect on you. See if your ferritin has risen next time you have a test. If so, you have been doing something right.
Yum!
