NDT is here.!!

My NDT order came in yesterday. Too excited for words.!!!

I have been on 75 msg levy (which is obviously under-dosed).

How do i switch between these two?

Also from what I have understood thus far is generally NDT needs to be taken multiple times a day, unlike levy which is morning empty stomach only.

I could use some help as to what time of the day should one start from, and what a general schedule for taking NDT is like.

All your help is greatly appreciated.

I’ve never split my dosage and don’t intend to start (I take 3 grains a day now). Seems to work just fine.

So do what suits - try it both ways, splitting or not splitting the dosage.

And I’d do a direct swap from one to the other - stop taking 75mcg and start taking 1 grain of NDT the next day.

There’s no one right way to do this.

I was on 75levo and 10 T 3

Started on 2grains NDT. But that made me feel sick within a day or so , stopped after 3 days. then started again after a week on 1/2 grain and added 1/2 grain every week till I am

now 1 and 3/4 grain .

This time I have got to a fairly good place 🙂I have no thyroid so quite low dose up to some on here .

advice is sadly , to trial and error.we are all so different.

Dropped previous hormones from the start of trial by the way .

I take mine in one go before I go to bed on an empty stomach .

So no evening snacks . Seems to give me a slightly better night

I love NDT. I’m not qualified to tell you how to transition..but I will tell you 60 days on NDT and I’ve lost 8 lbs!!! Impossible on levo!

Stop Levo then add in half a grain and hold for 2weeksxrhen add in another half. You can split them if you wish but that's really to ease your body in slowly to the T3. Continent till you get up to 2 grains then continue in quarters. This messed me up a bit as it turned out my sweet spot was1.75 so I missed it! I continued up to 3 feeling good but not asdood as I'd hoped as was given NDT on the NHS when first diagnosed over 30 years ago. I'd also arranged an Endo appointment and bloods showed what he suspected, I was over medicated and he dropped me back to 1.75 which is the right dose for me.

Don't worry about stopping the Levo then building up the NDT. Remember we hold a store of the Levo so we are gradually using it up as the NDT increases.

I switched to NDT Erfa, 4 months ago, just stopped Levi, and started NDT the next day. I take 1 grain in the morning and half a grain at 4pm. I feel amazing it is my wonder drug, and alongside the vitamin d protocol I feel the better than I have done in years.

If also lost a stone and a half, I go to the gym and I have my life back.

I aim to take 60000 iu sachet once a week. I also get tested for it every 6.months.

.... and no... i am not from UK.

Just thinking erfa may be harder to get from uk but read good reports albeit expensive

60000 so that's 8000 daily, Is this correct? Not heard of sachet

Approx 8500 IU daily.

I do skip a week here and there. But it all works out alright in the end.

We get one time dose packets of 60000 IU, powdered form.
