Hi everyone , just a quick update , have spoken to gp , he has agreed to do All blood tests , but was unsure about the antibodies test , I go tomorrow ( 8/10/18 )
In the meantime, can anyone suggest why I am so breathless all the time , even when I'm just speaking, and no I don't smoke
Thanks all , will be back in touch with blood results as soon as I have them

Yes am supposed to be, by the way , is it better to do the tests totally fasting , as normally like my breckie in the morning and appointment is at 12:50
Getting your TSH tested at 12.50 is really not a good idea. It will be much lower than at 9 am. I suppose you could have an early breakfast, but don't take your levo until after the blood draw.
Well, not for us. But it probably will be for your doctor! They don't understand that the later you take the blood, the lower the TSH will be, and it could make the difference between getting your dose increased, and having it decreased.
For full Thyroid evaluation you need TSH, FT4, FT3 plus TPO and TG thyroid antibodies and also very important to test vitamin D, folate, ferritin and B12
All thyroid tests should ideally be done as early as possible in morning and fasting. When on Levothyroxine, take last dose 24 hours prior to test, and take next dose straight after test. This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip, GP will be unaware)
