TSH 7.9 to 2.1 following Iron infusion

Just wanted to share my Mother had very low ferritin 7, iron tablets did very little to increase her levels, her GP arranged an iron infusion and when TSH was checked 2 weeks later as GP was planning increase in thyroxine(currently on 75mcg) her levels had improved significantly. I know advice on here is always have optimal ferritin levels, my mothers case makes that very clear to me.

Thank you

Her iron was likely low BECAUSE she's only on low dose of Levothyroxine

How are her vitamin D, folate and B12 levels

Iron will need retesting regularly. Infusion won't keep levels up for long if there's an underlying problem

Persistent low vitamins with supplements suggests coeliac disease or gluten intolerance
