I have been on 100mg thoxyine for over a year now. I am now being treated for menopause symptoms. I am confused with what’s going on. Going down herbal route for menopause. Still feeling tired middle of the day, anybody else have these problems

Hi Nelly - I see you joined the forum last October - so you have probably been reading the posts and have seen that fatigue is caused by more than your thyroid.

Can you post your most recent blood results with ranges for the Thyroid - perhaps there are some indicators there that may cause fatigue if your results are not optimal.

Also have you had B12 - Folate - Ferritin - VitD tested and are they optimal in the range ? If any are low in range then this could be the cause of your fatigue. You also need good levels for your thyroid hormones to work well in the body.

Do you have Hashimotos ? Are you on any other medication ? Gut issues ?

We will need a bit more information in order to help you - :-)

You are legally entitled to your results so phone the surgery and ask for them and say you will be along to collect them in a couple of days. Perhaps your surgery has access to your records on-line - you could ask. It will make posting here easier for you and you can keep track of your own health ... and you can check what has been missed. 😊

You can ask questions here. I expect it's your thyroid rather than menopause. Sounds as if you need vitamins and minerals tested - B12 - Folate - Ferritin and VitD. Maybe they are LOW in range. Docs rarely bother ... so push for them.
