Sometimes when I swallow I'm sure I can taste my thyroid - a sort of meaty taste. Is this normal in Autoimmune Hypothyroidism?

The thyroid isn't in the esophagus so you wouldn't be able to taste it, more likely teeth or throat related.

Thank's for the reply - I wonder what causes it then - it seems to come from the throat - I have problems swallowing, that's when it happens plus I have a tumour on my thyroid.
